Pin a Pie

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply when you use the Pin a Pie app or website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Your account

You need an account to use most of Pin a Pie. You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at danwas21@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.

Your content stays yours

Recipes, photos and text you post remain yours. You keep all ownership of them.

To run the service we need your permission to store and display that content: you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display what you post, solely for operating and promoting Pin a Pie. If you delete content or your account, that licence ends, except where someone has already saved your recipe to their own cookbook, and except for backups that expire on their normal schedule.

Recipes are public. Anyone using the app can see them, and a shared recipe link can be opened by anyone on the web and may appear in search engines. Don't post anything you want kept private.

Content you post

You confirm that you have the right to post what you post. That matters most for photos and for recipes copied from elsewhere: a list of ingredients is generally not protected by copyright, but the accompanying photograph and written description usually are. When you import a recipe from a link, credit the source, and don't republish someone else's photos or writing as your own.

Don't post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes anyone's rights. Don't post anything presenting a genuine risk to health.

Using the service

Please don't: break the law with it; attempt to access other people's accounts or our systems; scrape it or hammer the API; upload malware; impersonate anyone; or resell access to it.

Recipes are not professional advice

Pin a Pie is a place people share home cooking. We don't check recipes for accuracy, safety, or allergens, and we don't verify nutritional claims. Use your own judgement, especially around allergies, food safety and cooking temperatures.

Removing content and accounts

You can delete any recipe, or your whole account, from inside the app at any time (Profile → Delete account). Deleting your account permanently removes your content.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll tell you why.

Reporting a problem

If something on Pin a Pie infringes your rights or breaks these terms, email danwas21@gmail.com with a link to it and a short explanation, and we'll look at it.

The service may change

Pin a Pie is under active development. Features may change or be removed, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. If we make a material change to these terms we'll give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The service is provided "as is". We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content on it is accurate.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and the courts of Sweden have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
